Apple has released a public beta of Safari 4, it's WebKit based web browser for Windows and Mac OS X. Apple have dramatically increased the browser's performance.
This is due to a new JavaScript engine, the Nitro Engine, which is said to run several times faster than its predecessor and up to 30 times faster than Internet Explorer 7.
It also has some pretty cool features, with a minimum look like Chrome, plus Coverflow view for your History and a Top Sites (most visited) home page.

About a week before, they announced that they were adding some XBox 360 session, which I didn't overly care about, but figured I could powernap during that ;). Over the years, I've been to a number of Microsoft events and they NEVER provide drinks -- they always have tea/coffee, but no water. Other vendor events always have water and usually have juice as well. This event was no exception.
